The Geneva Double Curtain grape trellis and training system has been installed in the Concord grape Vineyard! 🎉🍇 It’s basically like a 6ft telephone pole with parallel wires that the grape vines can climb along.
The system requires installing heavy duty posts at an angle to support heavy gauge wire. The end of these posts have some sharp edges. In a MacGyver like fashion, we have used pool noodles to protect visitors from the edge of the posts. This is a temporary measure, until we are able to acquire caps for the posts and expand the fence to include these support structures. Community shout out – If anyone has a lead on caps that would be good to use for the ends of these posts, please send me a email! [email protected]
We will send out a call for volunteer support, once we are ready to expand the fence.🙏 Thank you to everyone who helped out to make this dream a reality!
This project was ONLY possible due to help from our increadible community. Learn more about the Trellis system
