Jovial Happenings and Updates

Summer has been full of life, color, and growth at Weaver Creek Park! From flourishing gardens to thriving wildlife, it’s been wonderful to see nature at its best. One of our favorite highlights has been another successful bird nesting season. Our nest boxes were home to Tree Swallows and Mountain Bluebirds, and we’re excited to share that 12 healthy young birds successfully fledged and have now taken flight! Watching these birds grow has been a wonderful reminder of the important habitat our park provides for local wildlife.

As we continue to grow, we’re expanding opportunities for our community to get involved in exploring and protecting the natural world around us. If you’re interested in learning more about the park’s wildlife, join us for our first BioBlitz at the beginning of our volunteer opportunity on Saturday, August 1! We’ll also be introducing more citizen science projects throughout the growing season.

Volunteer Help Needed!

We could really use your help out at Weaver Creek Park! 

GardenAbility Program: Support learning & gardening alongside our IDD participants. Tue–Thurs, 9:30am–12:30pm (high need).

General Garden Volunteers: Help with planting, maintenance, and harvest—various times throughout the week.

Movie Night Crew: Assist with setup, activities, and cleanup. Second Friday, 6:00pm–10:00pm.

Face Painter: Join our events team for movie nights (second Friday) and other community events.

Vendor applications are now open for the 5th Annual Fall Festival at Weaver Creek Park!

Join us on Saturday, October 10th from 12:00 PM–4:00 PM for an afternoon centered around community, local businesses, food, music, and connection outdoors.

Last year, the festival welcomed around 2,000 visitors from Morrison, Littleton, Lakewood, and surrounding communities looking to shop small and spend time together in the park.

Hosted by, the Fall Festival supports our nonprofit mission of cultivating community through gardening, education, and shared green spaces.

Vendor booths are $75 and include space to set up and connect directly with the community. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses interested in additional visibility.

If you’re a local maker, artist, small business, food vendor, or community organization, we’d love to have you involved.
