Spotlight on Individual Volunteers
At Jovial Concepts, individual volunteers form the heart of our mission. People like Emily Lauher and Michael Jordan—board members who once began as volunteers and now guide garden programming—bring their passion and expertise every week. These volunteers connect visitors directly to stewardship work and model how hands-on tasks can become powerful learning experiences.

Expanded Corporate Group Volunteering
Corporate teams of up to 100 can partner with us for tailored volunteer days that combine team building, gardening education, and real impact on local food systems. Projects might include installing raised beds, restoring pollinator habitats, harvesting produce, or building infrastructure in the Weaver Creek food forest. Companies receive orientation, hands-on instruction, and the chance to engage employees and families in a meaningful shared experience while contributing hundreds of volunteer hours toward our mission of sustainable community gardens.
Weekly Saturday Volunteer Days
We host open drop-in volunteer sessions every Saturday during the growing season (April–November), from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Weaver Creek Park. These family-friendly opportunities welcome volunteers of all ages and skill levels. Tasks include weeding, harvesting, orchard care, fencing, mulching, and more—all supported with gloves, water access, restrooms, and shade shelter. No prior experience is needed; just complete a brief waiver before your first visit. Whether you stay for an hour or the full session, Saturdays are a vibrant, hands-on way to grow community and make a difference.
